Our vision and history

CDS Gromke e. K. was founded in 1993 with the vision to provide services around digital imaging in the professional sector. This has developed into two main business areas in almost 30 years:

Digital Asset Management

Consulting, conception, implementation, customization and maintenance of integrated digital asset management solutions as a central source for image and media files


With the conception, installation, customized programming and maintenance of Digital Asset Management systems, we implement a central resource for our customers for digital images and media files. It provides working copies and originals for downloading and sending as well as links to images and media files. Furthermore, direct integration with other systems (e. g. CMS, ERP, collection databases, etc.) provides the necessary image and media material dynamically.

CDS Gromke e.K. uses established DAM systems from well-known manufacturers for customer projects in order to always use the most suitable solution.

Digitisation / Reproduction

Gentle high-end digitisation of historical and contemporary collections including metadata acquisition as well as indexing and backup logistics


CDS Gromke e.K. handles complex digitisation projects for indexing and securing collections. Based on many years of logistical experience, individual workflows are developed that include effective metadata ingestion. Ideally, the files are transferred immediately to a DAM system for efficient management and automated creation of working copies for different purposes.

The creation and use of color managed workflows as well as the production of high-quality reproductions and facsimiles via fine art prints complete our portfolio.

We love to work with the hardware from Phase One in our digitization projects not matter what kind the original is.

Nobody can do everything. For special tasks we benefit from the cooperation with our partners and our own contacts with other specialists in the field.
